Man am I excited for this issue. I must say I feel as though I took Lynch's writing for granted when reading After the Fall and now I want him back!
I have to admit, I have barely read any of Spike: After the Fall after purchasing it, but may have to. I no the villain they're talking about, and i thought it was not possible because of a spoiler.....for those who haven't read it...but anyways....
Gunn's character took a great turn in ATF and hopefully this issue will be AWESOME.

When I first read the very, very short preview I immediately thought that it was like a misdirection that makes us believe something terrible is happening and then it would turn out to be someone cutting their hair, or someone cutting their hair.
Then I read some of your ideas, and it would be awesome if it was the BIRTH of TWILIGHT - why he wears a mask etc. Stuff like that.
Definately picking this issue up XD

I feel so sorry for Topher though. I never really looked at his character from the point of view that was shown in this episode; how lonely it must feel to be giving people everything they want but be trapped in the Dollhouse along with all the dolls.
It was so funny to see him interact with Sierra. And I think the actress has made an amazing improvement in her acting since neighbours - so that is something she should be proud of. Oh, and I know the episodes before this like "Man on the Street" and "Needs" can be seen as far better than this one but I enjoyed "Haunted" more than I expected and it is my favourite of all time.
There were three characters in this episode that really got me and that I don't usually get fascinated by because they sometimes see so 2 dimensional and that was Adelle hands down, Topher, and suprisingly boyd - I don't know why Boyd but I think the writers made a good choice of making him attached to Echo and then suddenly pull him away from her.
So that's my little notes and I'd give this episode about a 9.5/10...I wouldn't give it a ten, but it is my favourite episode XD

The person who plays Warren has a slight resemblence to the actor who plays Ted in How I met your mother. Sorry to go off topic, but they really do have a slight resemblance. Minus the glasses XD

Joss Whedon would not, could not, kill of Andrew. I remember him saying something in an interview where he talked about the trio and how most of their dialogue is how he talks in real life. Anyway, I don't understand why people want him to die. He's quite funny, I don't understand all of his little refrences, but still he's a great character. It's funny how he brings the nerd out in everyone, especially Xander! So, all in all, I hope Andrew is the one to kill Warren, not the other way around XD

I agree - the original movie was not bad at all. Although, we can all fairly say it was nothing like the television series, but still it was a good film. The only thing I think they shoulda changed for that movie was the constant humour - all their dialogue was them trying to be funny...mostly...and Joss's original script was much darker in the sense that Buffy actually set the gym on fire and it wasn't so cocky.

I hope Fox doesn't cancel Dollhouse! I mean, if they were smart they'd know that Joss's series always don't get the GREATEST ratings in the world but he has a THOUSAND more fans than any other writer out there. And, if they see what happened to Firefly and how it became a feature film then they would be absolute idiots if they even consider cancelling it. Joss should start up his own Network, airing all his shows

I have just re-read "The Long Way Home" after reading all the clues and most importantly looking at the Taroot cards. I just want to put down a few notes for all you to think about and tell me your opinion on them:
BUFFY IN THE DREAMSPACE:
1. The scene of Buffy with both Angel and Spike chained together with cupids everywhere. This reminded me of a book by Nancy Holder called "Queen of the Slayers" set after s7. Buffy joined souls (essense) together with Angel's and Spikes and they formed a child. Also in the Taroot card, Buffy and Spike are joined together again with the symbol behind them. I don't know what this does to the Buffy s8 story but it seemed interesting - maybe we'll see Angel and Spike in this season afterall - and maybe Buffy will have a superkid.
2. "Oh! I always have this one! Can we stop and delete this one!" says Buffy in the dreamspace. And Ethan had replied with "I told you, lamb: Time is a factor". Maybe the whole Twilight plan is to rewrite history. To destroy women power and/or the entire line of slayers. If not, break Willow's spell. That is why we see a full flashback of certain scenes in Buffy's past because Ethan is trying to warn her of what is going to happen. And in the last panel this conversation backs my rewriting history theory:
Ethan: Just remember what you see here. Twilight is falling. You're going to need all the help you can get.
3. What does Twilight mean: Twilight means the time of day just after sunset or before dawn, when the Sun is below the horizon.
Why is it important that the man behind the mask is named Twilight or the agenda is called Twilight???
4. I believe this is a prophecy dream like many others and so I rekon Amy plays an even bigger role than we thought because of these few lines:
"Whoa, whoa...I know all this. This is Amy's Cage. Amy's doing this?" - Buffy
"I didn't know her name. I can't see outside myself. But I connected with her, and she saw me" - Ethan.
This theory is only matched up if the prophecy dream is taken place in the distant future - not too far but you get the point, not talking about when she wakes up.
5. Take a step back, I remembered something: The Taroot card of the blonde fallign from the building matches up perfectly with Buffy getting sucked out the window and falling into the hand of the demon from NFFY.
I hope all these stuff are actually helpful and not gibberish. I also think that the dreamspace might actually be TWILIGHT as well - if not its a prophecy dream.
Last of all: I think The Long Way Home is giving us more hints as to who and what Twilight is, how season eight is actually going to end, and why everything is happening the way it is, than we actually know. I have a strange feeling when the last issue comes out we're all gonna go, wait a second...that was from this issue. In the sense that the information is there we just can't exactly analyze it properly - tho this thread really made me look at VOLUME ONE in a whole new way.
Thanks for putting this up, very helpful XD

My guess is that Xander doesn't play a key (important) role in this issue and/or arc. I think Andrew is on Jo's cover because he is another key role in this arc due to Warren's appearance and the fact that he's been accepted into the gang by Buffy when she said he is a part of the family.
About Willow:
I don't think she looks like Amy. To me it looks like she's sort of blushing, looking a tad younger. A high school crush over Oz. Hopefully that is what it is OZ + WILLOW = awesomeness.
About Georges art - I think he's better at drawing the comic part of the comic and not the covers. Tho, I do prefer some of his covers than Jo's sometimes.
That is my opinion XD

Oh and he said that Sarah Michelle Gellar said that her career in movies hasn't been all that she hoped for and that if they do decide to make a Buffy movie she wouldn't so no.

On the news this morning a "Buffy Movie" was in talks. I can't remember the guys name but he does all the movie buzz for NBN in Australia - He talked about the movie set in the future with Buffy having a kid of her own that takes on the roll of her mother, Buffy Summers. I don't know if this has been mentioned yet but I just thought I'd let you all know.

In Act Three I believe, Tara is told she can leave. Before actually exiting the magic box she points at Giles and says "Killer!" but I don't know why. Does anyone have an answer and if not any theories as to why she said that?

Back on topic here: I think that a way to solve their problems without killing Prue off and keeping Paige was to do a whole "Power of Four" thing. I mean, why not. Here is why Shannen could have stayed with that happening:
1. Shannen would not have to be in a lot of scenes with Phoebe, only big sister moments and battles where they all have to read a spell together.
2. With four sisters, they wouldn't always need to be together to fight and defeat demons - the power of three would be enough. So there's another way: and over time Alyssa and Shannen would have gotten over there problems....
Either way, I always watch seasons 1-5 happily and seasons 6-8 tiresomely.

Yes. I know this is probably not necessary but I have been dying to get people's opinion about all this. My questions is, which continuation do you enjoy better "After the Fall" or "Aftermath". I should probably wait until "Aftermath" is finished before deciding but I think I've given up on the series.
Okay, so Angel: After the Fall was great at first. I loved the first volume where we started halfway in and learnt stuff that led the characters to where they were. "First Night" was were I started to get a bit eerie about it but as soon as the confrontation between Gunn and Angel came I decided to get back into it. Then came Cordelia and she is what made me read the rest of the series because of how it all wrapped up - Illyria in her truest form, Connor dying, Angel getting dusted. Then in the final issue of ATF I felt that everything tied together nicely, all the characters had moved on and everyone knew that Angel was a hero.
Now, reading Angel: Aftermath I find myself quite let down. I don't care about the art, just the story and even that doesn't keep me entertained. I get halfway through and go "I don't really want to read this but anything Angel related couldn't harm me."
I think Cordelia's storyline is over. Let her get on with her afterlife, I mean come on! I will continue to read Aftermath only if this next issue does justice. I want to get your opinion on the whole thing and which series you like better or would like more (seeing as Aftermath is not finished).
BTW: Looking forward to Drucilla issues XD

I would love to see Joss make a movie out of "The Long Way Home". I could picture the government claiming Buffy Summers was a terrorist and the whole "Twilight" villain. But any Buffy movie would make my day. I am actually quite hooked to season 8 lately only because OZ is coming back and Giles is getting back with the gang. But again, "The Long Way Home" movie would be epic. XD

This is one of my favourites but I can't stand watching Willow look so miserable. You could just feel how sad she was. I haven't watched this episode as much as all the others but I agree with what everyone else is saying XD

I don't think it will get cancelled as a lot of reviewers say that it has a lot of potential - and that each episode unravels a new twist, or carries on with one to build up suspense. Which is what makes the show so great!
Off topic question: After the first season of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, was there controversy about cancellation. It always crossed my mind after watching Firefly and Dollhouse. So does anyone know if Buffy was facing a cancellation early on like most of Whedon's shows?

This is my favourite of all so far. When it was about to finish with the Dollhouse opened and everyone exiting I thought "awesome plot twist". I actually thought they would have to see the real world with no memories - learning everything from the start. And as soon as Echo dropped I was like .... nooooooooooo! There goes that cool plot twist ... lol. Overall I'd give it a 10/10. I'm really starting to like that new dollhouse character - the one who had a daughter that died.

What about a video game based on the Buffy/Fray universe. Each slayer gets sucked into eachothers world. Buffy in Fray's vise versa. That'd be cool, although I don't know how they'd do it.
Oh, and I also rekon they should do an ALL SEASONS video game coz I'd so love to play a level from the episode "the Gift". It'd be awesome!
