People missing the highschool dynamic in a teen show that went on for 7 years is inevitable unfortunately. I think growing up isn't looked on too favourably because it coincided with a decline in writing, which is an unfair link. 5 was great. Later seasons were lazy. Season 7 in particular seemed rushed and under-baked. Joss has been given a long long time to plan Season 8, so he'll have no excuses if it doesn't wrap up well, but it's not right for people to throw out S8 for anything to do with the arcs and lack of action when it's only half way done.

^ Same. I'm not sure I'll care much to continue after ATF, the story seems nicely wrapped, and I never liked Dru all that much; but I'm certainly interested in this issue.

Could be true and fairly cool. I don't like her enough to want to see her again to ever find out though, either way lol
Has it ever been said that it's only teens that are called? I never thought about it, but I think it's kind of a waste of great material to restrict the possibilities like that. The empowerment to women in Chosen means less to me if it's only young (and attractive by the looks of it too) women who get that power. I honestly, truely, would love to see an old lady kicking ass.

Did I just read that right, that he hadn't met Brian Lynch until the recent comic con? That's so odd, to be named to together on projects for so long and never actually meeting.

^ I get it from the fact that Joss will not be involved. Not even to the extent that he was in After the Fall, and that isn't enough for some people.

It is not canon, but it's as close as anything will ever be in the forseeable future. It has a Lynch quality guaruntee which is good enough for me.

What about Cordy being a whatever-a-higher-being is now and not Doyle? If Cordy counts because she was chosen to bear the visions, helped Angel and died in the fight for good, what about Doyle who also qualifies? And the warm breeze to Wes seemed pretty clearly to be Cordy while the warm breeze in #17 seems a bit up in the air because Angel doubted himself. But what other "higher being" would be interested in comforting Wes than Cordy? The whole thing just makes my head hurt. In the end, I just hope they don't use Cordy that much anymore. I'm not sure what everyone else believes in here, but I'd rather Cordy went to the 'verse's version of heaven or was reincarnated. Cordy in early Season 4 on the higher plane was bored out of her mind because she wasn't allowed to interfere. And I'd hope that she got to finally move on because I don't see her character being allowed to grow in this state except as the literal Deus Ex Machina who restores Angel's belief in his purpose. I admit to being really scared when Lynch mentioned in his Buffyfest interview that he could see later writers wanting to bring back Fred and Wes. I miss both those characters so much and I wish they'd never died, but they did and I think bringing them back would be a step in a very wrong direction. I understand the fine line that concerns you. The only thing I think I can add is that the intervention in #9 - while maybe not in immediate dire circumstances - was in a desperate situation with Hell-A and all, and therefore fits with previous interventions like the Snow in "Amends" and the Slots in "House Always Wins". With this you can explain away #17 as merely a sign of faith on Angel's part and not actually any form of meddling from above. This may ease your brain... or not. I share your feelings on this. I don't like the idea of Cordy being so active up there. In my view Cordy was booted from the heavens in season 4 because she meddled like she did. That was always the way I saw it. I think she was given a little room in ATF because things were bad, but I hope it was special circumtances, and I hope the writer's don't push it later on. Like you guys summised, yes I haven't read #13, I suffer the horrible fate of waiting for the HC's

Is Betta Georges the telepathic fish comic book artist? Yaya. He's awesome. The way he composes his images, it's almost like he's reading the writer's mind.

I think it was entirely important for Angel to re-establish faith in the forces of good above him. The Angel we saw in season 5 was the result of total demoralisation. He no longer believed in anything but the evil around him. I never saw Cordy as a higher being at all, it's debatable just how much control she has over anything if any. For me, the warm breeze is a sign of faith restored for Angel; he's finally back in a place where he can help others.

Just do more Buffy/Angel Spin-offs... He tried with Ripper but Fox made sure it couldn't go anywhere Sucks so much ass. Just Ripper would potentially lead to so many things.

Xander's poor reactions to Buffy's decisions are quite real though. I have a female friend who constantly creates relationship trainwrecks, and it does stuff to you as the friend. Not something to be proud of, but it's hard not to start acting an arse.

True rogue11, but what's the point without Cordy/Wes/Fred? ... They've had their time. Cordy and Fred's deaths were up there with the best stories each character had in my opnion. By the time their deaths came around, Fred had done little of interest for well over a year, and Cordy had done nothing but suck. Like you said, there's some Fred left in Illyria, and I think that's the most interesting way to keep that character "alive", same with Cordy's presence above. As for Wes, hasn't he suffered for long enough? Poor guy. I'm kinda glad he may finally get some rest, as much as I love the character.

Tomb Raider just seems like the video game version of Indiana Jones to me to be honest. It never needed a movie. There's potential for a good film though, definately far better than the other two turds released.
