First time I watched it, I laughed through almost the entire thing. Well, except at the obviously "not funny" part.

(I'm trying to talk about Firefly but it's kinda hard. D'you think maybe this thread should be otherwheres than the Firefly forum?) It started because of Firefly. This is one of those situations where there is only so much Firefly material to pull from, so we find ourselves comparing it to other things. Damn FOX and their being stupid.

Looks are entirely superficial and people who judge others on looks alone are pretty vain and superficial. Very much so.

I understand and share your frustration sometimes.
On the flip side, it is nice to finally have someone who isn't always going to take characters in deadly situations and tack on a "they were miraculously saved" ending. It's just as equally frustrating for me when writers are unwilling let characters go every so often. If art is to imitate life, death and loss are a part of it effects all involved, sometimes drastically.

I actually sat there for a few minutes after to movie ended trying to convince my brain that what I had just seen happen had actually happened.

Paris Hilton's death in House of Wax. Every single person in that packed theater jumped up, then started cheering and clapping. First and only time I've seen a death in a movie get a standing ovation.

I love the original Flutie though. He is Ned rierson from groundhogs day and Bob Bishop from Heroes Agreed! I wish they had kept him on in that role.

New Hampshire will become the sixth state to legalize gay marriage in the US! Just a little closer every day. 44 more to go.

I got drunk at a friends house, and woke up the next morning to find my wallet missing. I gave up looking and was resigned to it being lost. I got a call about a month later telling me that they found my wallet in the freezer.

I don't think the ordinary biological rules apply to vamps. I mean, they don't need to go to the bathroom, don't breath, so let's assume that something goes wonky with their smell-sense too. I think this theory of them not following normal biological rules is proved even more by the fact that they are dead, yet not.

I posted this in the other thread, and thought I would post it here too. It is a time line set up to make watching the DVD episodes easier. It deals with crossovers, to be continued endings, and tries to keep disc changes to a minimum.

I tend to view them a one big show. I know and understand that they each have their own feel, and each focuses of different themes; however, to me they are like love and marriage (as in a Married with Children reference, not a sappy statement), you can't have one without the other. It's like one big story told from two different points of view in two different locations. Perhaps it has something to do with my general apathy towards Angel's character - he bored me to death in BtVS (except when he was Angelus lol), so I was reluctant about watching AtS in the first place. I had the same problem initially.

The thing that always ruin the Angel/Buffy fight at the end of season two for me is that the Angel stunt double has a horribly obvious receding hair line. I watch the fight going "Now it's Angel. ... ... Now it's the guy losing his hair. ... ... Now it's Angel. ... ... Now it's the guy losing his hair. ..." and so on.
