What more can be said that hasn't been already. Not many loose ends, but left me wanting more. One of my favourite moments was Alpha, looking up at Echo as Whiskey spoke to him. Three actors from the other three of Joss's shows all together in one shot/scene.

Mostly agree on whats been said. Wolves at the gate and No future for you are top of the list. I'm a big faith fan, and although i'm still not loving the Buffy/Satsu idea wolves at the gate was emotional, funny, good plot points that further the overall plot. So the way i get around choosing which is my favourite, is considering that NFFY is a 'standalone episode', and WATG as a plot furthering episode. You get what i mean? I think P+P was the weakest as TOYL will make more sense once the season has ended, re-reading it will mean more in the future. P+P as far as i can see has little meaning in the grand scheme of things.

How many covers for the arc 'retreat' have been drawn, and anything juicy you can share about them?

The other cover got me really excited, normal sized dawn!! GILES!!! then i had to look for Faith, how comes the girl behind faith looks oddly similar? Is it meant to be kennedy? Thats my own complaint Plus whoever pointed out Oz isnt on the 'other' cover, intereeeeesting.

To not be annoyed at the throwing away of the comics, what if the film was an adaptation of the comics? Like missing out the random Stories, like Andrews, and the last issue with Faith and Giles, it would still be something canon but something extra as us as comics readers know about. The film could be based around Twilight vs Buffy with undertones of the public being in support of vampires, which in this day and age with films such as "Twilight" i think would be really REALLY good.

No confirmation yet, but apparently they are thinking of giving Dollhouse a second season to help the series "Find its legs" "While the audience hasn't been as large as expected, it has instead remained stable." "Other factors in favor of the show continuing is that it's not as expensive as other Fox shows. " I dont understand the exact meaning, but it sounds good "Dollhouse" carries a BlipNetwork Stability Index Rating of 92.0, better than every other network genre show currently on television outside of "Reaper" on The CW, which has a 94.7. " Then added at the end "Of course, none of this has been confirmed by Fox, so it should be treated as any rumor would, meaning information can change, or could even be wrong." Just thought id share Source: spoilertv.blogspot.com/2009/04/fox-leaning-toward-dollhouse-renewal.html

Im sure this must have been mentioned. But its not occurred to me before now. At first, i thought possibly future Xander, or Giles. But what if... Now bearing in mind people think its plausible for it to be future Xand. What if its future Buffy. She would 'Know that move' 'Hate to see Buffy cry' And the whole reason i suddenly thought this, was because the image in "anywhere but here" with Buffy covered in scratches and sobbing, being the moment that Buffy finds out who twilight/the betrayer is. Why wouldnt Twilight kill buffy? For her to be sobbing on the floor especially with such little marks on her (she clearly wasnt beaten to the floor) she needs to be fully emotionally broken. Who better than Buffy herself being the betrayer to break her emotionally, not in the sense of she does something that lets herself down, but if Buffy is LITERALLY the betrayer/twilight. We've all noticed Buffy is leading down a dark/dangerous road, and that Twilight is in someways morally ambiguous, he/she could be doing the right thing to save the world. Well what if its Future Buffy vs present Buffy. Whos side do we root for? If future Buffy tells present Buffy she has to die to save the world, whos side are we on? I know theres plenty of holes, but theyre living a world of magic, time travel and the look of being like a man is plausible.

Well, i wont be writing a review as in depth as yours, but i just want to say, in terms of story, i wouldn't change a thing, this is someone else telling the story, i have always felt that in TV shows as long as the story is consistant, no matter what happens in it, i will be happy with it. Even killing favourite characters, if the plot point is consistant with the theme/whats needed to advance the story, then i love it.
Angel After the fall stayed consistant, most if not all of the writing was perfect for the characters. I could see that Angel and co were going to snap back to the alleyway scene, but it was handled perfectly, and certainly didnt feel like a cop out ending. Also, i loved how its tied into the current story on Buffy. Its the first sort of interaction we have had between the comics, so again, story/ending. Perfect.
The only problem i did have however was some of the art, and sometimes it was hard to read, e.g. i would be reading inner thoughts and have no clue who it was supposed to be. But in terms of story, i wouldnt change a thing. Its been amazing.

Just wana say, ive been a fan of the "balance theory" since season 7.
Buffy died, fair and square. The power of "good" ressurected her, allowing the power of "evil" to go mad with power, hence season 7 finale. The power of "good" does the slayer spell, out weighing the power of evil EVEN more. Again allowing "evil" to fight back with its most powerful of powers. Which could see the end of the world.
Thus, twilight is a good guy, he wants to set things to equal again. Also why im a Giles is twilight supporter.

To answer part of your question, i remember the spell from Chosen being similar to: "Every girl who could be a slayer, WILL be a slayer"
So no, if a slayer dies another does not take her place, as any girl who could be a slayer, will be one anyway.

Okay. Felt it wasnt worth the wait, and as said above, looking back on this arc at the end of the season may make it so much more important and interesting. But right now, too many unanswered questions with not enough closure. And the wait wasnt worth the insides of it.

Yeh i agree, pretty much what im loving about this season. Buffy can be seen as the bad guy, not in the sense she is evil, but she has created something that is set to doom *us*. Riley could well be on the *good* team, Buffy on the *bad*

Oh and i forgot to mention, now that Riley as twilight is off the table, people have mentioned others again, including Giles, in my Buffy mafia which i just hosted, I made Giles Twilight, the story i wrote was that Frays bleak world was made like this due to a war against the slayer army, a mystical magical fought war which pretty much destroyed new york/USA/the world? Giles/Twilight was working to de power the slayers in order to stop the war that destroys everything, and in Giles/Twilights own words "Take out the soldiers and the war ceases to exist" just thought i would share... xxFWxx P.s, Lady G was the last person standing too haha.

After reading your comments im going to go back and re read, but thought, what if the scythe needed to be destroyed for Willow to be destroyed. Willow does have a huge connection with it, its basically the item that started her on this uber witch phase. Also, severely dissapointed by this issue, the only big reveal was basically Riley, and it was ruined for me, the first person to post regarding the new issue didnt state spoilers, and it wasnt even out over here in the UK at that point Im very excited for after these messages though, and will be making damn sure it is not ruined for me. haha.

I think he is referring to the panel right after it shows buffy's shadow in the final battle. It has a arm looking like it is being pulled into a portal. My only problem with that is that panel is in a past story and this takes place after fray has found out she is a slayer. So yeah good idea. But yeah who knows Ive mentioned this before. Obviously it would take much more explaining about how Frays world/slayer lineage became what it is in frays time. But what if the story of the final battle/slayer/portal thing is prophecy and not history. And what if Fray is that slayer?

Yeah i know that its not likely they will get it word for word, but for me it just kinda comes across that the writers couldnt be bothered to go find word for word what was actually said. Again as i said, i know this probably isnt true, but it just feels it. I just think i was expecting more than issue 12, and issue 12 was packed full of awesomeness. In a couple of months, when the whole story has finished this will probably be an issue that will contain much more impact on second (third or fourth) reading.

Just thought i would advertise for it in case anyone is interested. I will be hosting a Buffy mafia on another site very soon. To those who know what a mafia game is and interested, the link is in my signature. To everyone else:
Whats a "mafia" game? Roughly 20-30 players, sometimes slightly less. Each player will receive a PM telling them their character and power. Roughly 6-8 villains. 12-14 heroes. The villains know who each other are and pick off the heroes one by one, the heroes do not know who to trust and have to work out the villains/their team mates through clues and story telling. The story telling is controlled by YOUR decisions and powers. If interested please PM me, or check the link in my signature.
xxFWxx

Am i the only one who felt a bit underwhelmed by this issue? Maybe it was Brian bigging it up, but i was expecting more. I was expecting it to be more revealing than issue 12, issue 12 still stands out as my favourite issue so far. The gwen death came across as just conflicting, as we still dont know why she did what she did, it made her death scene even more out of place and confusing. The spikes death/non death was a great little piece of turning it around on you, but kinda pointless? yes? and if im honest, i dont like this "im gona paraphrase this because we dont have much time" stuff to do with Kates epiphany moment, thats my favourite episode/moment of the series. And it comes across that the writers just cant be bothered to go remember it word for word. Im sure this isnt true, but twice now, its been paraphrased, both to characters and us. Only thing i loved, LOVED about this issue was Connor, and the art when Gunn has his breakdown, beautiful.
