OMG. Id thought about this and laughed to myself but. What if Angel DOES die. Wesley died, and W+H "brought him back". Who is the link that W+H used before to talk to Angel and co? Lilah. I now more than ever believe that Angel DOES die. The seeing the woman scene will be Lilah speaking on behalf of W+H in some other worldly place, like the white room. And then W+H will bring Angel back to take down Gunn.

I'm pretty much "happy" with the way Anya ended. And i dont think she should come back in the comics, she was amazingly funny, but i think Emma had great comic timing which played alot for the character. Anya in the comics wouldnt be Emma. And although the writing would still be hilarious for her, it wouldnt be the same. I could see a place for Tara in season 8 though, not alive, not in the "im back" sense. But with Willows power, i could totally see a connection with Tara happening, if only for one issue.

Gen Voll? is it. Did it ever explain what happened to him? Surely Buffy couldnt turn him into the government, he IS the government. And Buffy surely didnt kill him....? So what? Did she just let him go?

Interesting theory, but then how did Dawn and Twilight co-exist in the present time.

Unless you meant. Stage 1 - she finally becomes useful as a giant, so turns into the next stage. Stage 2 - Being a centaur helped the scoobies/xander, so in THEORY, she should be stage 3ing it some time soon. Stage 3 - Once whatever it is she turns into becomes useful. She will turn back into normal dawn having gained some place within the scoobies.
I like that theory.

If i understood that right, i dont believe it. The mecha dawn was made BECAUSE dawn had become a giant. If she hadnt been a giant, the mecha dawn wouldnt have been created. And she turned into a centaur before the castle had been attacked. If she turned into something useful, BECAUSE the castle had been attacked, then yeah sure.

Didnt Gunn get the red thing in like issue one or two. Its back when "Team gunn" are introduced and you think he is a hero. Then the issue ends on the surprise that he has been vamped.

Yeah i had a crazy theory about Willow that caused too many time and variables for my brain to handle.
We now know that Willow goes "Dark" (we dont know all the ins and outs, but stay with me) What if Twilight is the other variation of Willow. If Buffy stops dark Willow from happening, Willow becomes Twilight instead. Fighting to end the age of magic, because she knows that she will end up going "dark". So future Buffy sends Willow back in time to stop the end of magic, thus stopping dark willow. Willow dons the mask and outfit, and voila, Twilight = future 'good' willow.
Now theres too many alternates and flaws in that for me to even consider it a good proper theory lol. Hence why i posted it here.

The main reason i was dissapointed was because issue 19 cover had already been released. If i hadn't seen that, i would have read it convinced it was Dru. The future covers ruin it for me. I may have to stop looking when we get them.

now the "princess" line, I think is just a metaphor. There's no prince, it's just a metaphor stating that Buffy is leaving the past to come to the future, plain and simple. Hmm, to me its connected to the prince thing. Saving "the prince". Willow is one of the two people who were told that they prince needs to be saved. Future Willow (shes quite likely seen how stuff plays out and knows who the prince is) now refers to Buffy as the princess. Hmm and someone mentioned the "long live the queen" comment, which could quite obviously be Willow living 2000+ years. So if Willow is the Queen. And Buffy is the princess. That must make Xander the Prince.....right??

In TOYL part 2. Future Willow refers to Buffy as the "princess" That would make who the prince....

Unless i missed it, nobody is mentioning one of Future Willows lines
"Tonight. The princess leaves her kingdom for the forest of the now"
Now, cutting away the crazy at the end. If Buffy is the "princess" that would make WHO the prince?

Honestly? the thought hadn't even crossed my mind that he would kill her off. This was a 40 minute comedy musical. Its not that i didnt expect it, i hadn't even considered he would do it. After that death, i feel like Joss is trying to make it clear that he can get you involved in a characters death. Whether it be a character from a comic book, or a character from a 40 minute comedy. Ive now learnt the hard way and i pray that he throws us a happy ending somewhere in the future. Please. If Joss keeps on like this, i may end up spiraling into depression.

I thought this was going to focus more on Buffy, in the future, and the why. But im worried Joss is going to use this to conclude Frays story with Harth. Fray deserves more than three issues in Buffys season 8 for that

Random observation: Dark Willow doesnt seem angry. And if Buffy was truly being attacked by Willow, id expect something more from her facial expression. Now i do think its just Willow goes temp dark to bring Buffy back. But then, Joss wouldnt throw in a dark Willow image for no reason, even if its JUST that she turns to dark to bring B back. Theres got to be something more to it.

I always hoped they would bring back Glory somehow to fight with the scoobies. Glory never wanted to create chaos and death, she just wanted to "go home".
And it sounds similar to the final episode of charmed, which i thought came across extra lame.
But what i did like, (is this what you meant) was Buffy vs Big bad. But fighting through random scenes. Like if the Big bad was throwing around time to disorientate Buffy and weaken her. E.g. Big bad bringing them both back to the scene of her mothers death, and kicking her ass there, just because it would be so emotionally draining and horrific. And then with that taken her to another "moment" which would distract and disorientate her. Id like that *nods*

The story may be related to this. Its a story from the four books "tales of the slayer" Buffy, Willow and Xander are sent back into their 1999 bodies back in high school. They have all the knowledge of what is to come because they are actually from the year 2001. Willow and Xander are both disturbed and want to go back to the present time but Buffy is determined to stay in the past where her mother still lives and her life isn't nearly as complicated as it had become in the future. Rumor has it this story was originally conceived as a possible episode for the sixth season of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, but for whatever reasons, wasn't used. I would die happy if that was the case Same. I bet it would be easier to do in comic form, than in actor form aswell. Im very much looking forward to reading the short story
